Police selection test arrangements reviewed

Additional Director-General of Police and member of the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board Karan Singha today reviewed the preparedness for various selection tests to be conducted. The tests are for posts of constables, wardens and firemen in west zone tomorrow.

A total 12,340 candidates have been selected for physical maintenance, endurance and physical efficiency tests to be held at Coimbatore, Salem and Dharmapuri.

IGP Enforcement K Shankar, City Police Commissioner A Amalraj, Salem City Police Commissioner K Sanjayakumar and West Zone IG A Pari were among the top officials present.

A total 4.82 lakh candidates appeared for the written examination for the 15,664 and 47 backlog posts in the category across Tamil Nadu, of which 12,340 were selected in west zone, sources said.
