2.5 kg gold seized at Coimbatore airport, one held

Customs officials at Coimbatore airport today seized 2.5 kg gold from a passenger who landed by an Air Arabia flight from Sharjah.
Officials, on suspicion, intercepted Shathik Ali, who landed early this afternoon. On examination of his luggage, they found 2.5 kg gold. Shathiki from Ramanathapuram district was remanded in judicial custody.
