10-day old boy among five tested positive in Coimbatore

Coimbatore : A 10-day old boy was among
the five tested positive in Coimbatore today.
According to health department sources, a woman hailing from Unjavelapatti in the district, had delivered a boy in Pollachi Government Hospital on April seven.
Since another woman, hailing from Anamalai, also delivered a boy and her blood samples tested positive, the blood samples of 20 persons, including nurses, doctors and others in the maternity ward were taken and sent for testing.
The results revealed that a 30-year old woman from Valparai, and another 40-year old woman of Athupollachi and the 10-day boy of Unjavelapatti tested positive today.
Similarly, a 20-year old man and 40-year old woman from Sirumugai, who were neighbours of a Covid-19 positive patient, also tested positive today.
