11 policemen injured as van turns turtle

At least 11 policemen were injured, when the vehicle they were travelling turned turtle near Aruvangadu, today.
According to sources, the policemen were on their way to Coonoor in view of the rail roko agitation by various political parties and farmers associations on the Cauvery issue.
The injured, including two home guards, were admitted to the Government Hospital here, with minor injuries and bruises, police said.
The van turned turtle, when the driver was attempting to negotiate a bend between Aruvangadu and Eallanalli. Traffic was disrupted for nearly an hour following the mishap.
