12 casual workers injured as tractor topples

Udhagamandalam: Some 12 workers were injured, a few of them seriously, when the tractor in which they were travelling toppled in nearby Udhagamandalam (Ooty), today.
The workers, hailing from Northern states, were being taken for a drinking water project in Emarald area, when the mishap occured, police said.
The injured were taken to the Government Hospital in Udhagamandalam in mini vans. Some of the workers had fractures on legs and hands and a few with serious bleeding injuries, they said.
