2 arrested, loot of finance firm recovered

Coimbatore : A 32-year-old youth was arrested Tuesday for his involvement in the case of robbery and assault at a private finance firm in the city two days ago.
On suspicion, police monitored the calls of one of the two women employees, Renukadevi, who was ‘assaulted’ .
Based on the calls made on her phone and her interrogation, police traced the youth Suresh of Kempatti Colony to Walayar on Tamil Nadu-Kerala border and arrested him, police said..
Renukadevi was also arrested for her involvement in the planned heist. Police seized Rs.2.27 crore worth of jewels and Rs1.34 lakh cash from them. Further investigations are on, police said.
