2 unidentified bodies recovered from different areas

The body of a man in his mid-forties, partially devoured by stray dogs, was found lying among the bushes in Singanallur today.
Passersby noticed the body, surrounded by a pack of dogs and immediately called the police. The cops recovered the body and sent it to the Government Hospital for post mortem. The deceased was identified as Pugalendhi (46), who worked as a painter.
The body of another man was found by the roadside in Koilpalayam, with bleeding injuries on the face and ear. A motorcycle was also found lying at some distance from the spot. The deceased was identified as Kannan, and preliminary investigations suspect that he had consumed liquor.
