2 women die of swine flu in Coimbatore

Coimbatore : A 22-year-old pregnant woman was among the two who died of swine flu in the Government Hospital here in the last 18 hours.

Baby, from Tirupur, was admitted to the hospital on November 17 with fever symptoms and tested swine flu positive, hospital sources said on Tuesday, Without responding to treatment, Baby died around midnight.

Similarly, a 50-year old woman Veerammal, from Pollachi in the district, had been undergoing treatment for swine flu since November 18. She also died last night, they said.

So far 62 persons died of various types of fever, including swine flu and dengue, both in the government and private hospitals in the city.
