30 kilos of ganja seized, peddler arrested

Police today arrested a person near Anamalai in Coimbatore district, and seized 30 kilos of ganja from him.
Based on a tip off that ganja is being supplied in and around Vettakarainpudur, a police team was keeping vigil since early in the morning today and noticed a person moving in a suspicious manner. On search, police found 30 kilos of ganja in several packets from the bag of the man, who was identified as Dharmaraj, a resident of the same region.
Interrogation revealed that he used to bring ganja from Theni and supply to the student community. Dharmaraj is said to have business link with a woman in the area, who is also in the ganja business.
