3,641 polling stations for local body elections

Coimbatore : Based on the new electoral roll, a total of 3,641 polling stations will be set up in Coimabtore District for the local body elections.
While 1,196 polling stations will be in the City Corporation, there will be 234 stations in Municipalities, 716 in town panchaysts and 1,495 in Panchayat unions, as per the notification issued on March eight here.
Objecions on this can be filed within one week, it said.
