The 37th Graduation Day of PSG College of Arts & Science was held on December 2nd, 2024 (Monday) at 10: 30 AM in GRD Auditorium. Shri. L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons Charities, presided over the function. The programme began with the welcome address by Dr. M. Senguttuvan, the Principal-in-charge followed by the presentation of the annual report.

The Chief Guest of the occasion was Dr.G.Satheesh Reddy, an eminent Indian Aerospace scientist who served as the 13th Chairman of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) from 2018-2022. He is also the Chairman of the Governing Body of the Aeronautical Development Agency and Scientific Adviser to the Raksha Mantri (Minister of Defence, India).

In his inspiring address, Dr.Reddy motivated the graduating students to contribute to the well-being of the communities and the country.

Dr.Reddy also insisted that as students prepare to embark on the next phase of their journey, they must first and foremost, understand that education is not just about the content learned or the degree earned. It is about the skills developed and the ability to think critically, to solve problems, and to adapt to the challenges they will inevitably face in the real world. He reinforced, Dr. Kalam’s words: “Dream, dream, dream. Dreams transform into thoughts. And thoughts result in action.”

Dr.G.Satheesh Reddy, an eminent Indian Aerospace scientist awarded the degrees to, 4389 graduands in various research disciplines; 19 Ph.D holders, 1110 Post Graduates, 3260 Undergraduates, and 81 rank holders. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.M.Jayanthi, the Vice Principal. The Graduation Day ended with the national anthem.
