45-year-old man killed in road accident

A 45-year-old man from Palladam was killed when a two-wheeler hit his vehicle near Kozhikuttai Thottam on Saturday.

According to sources, the deceased, M. Periyasamy (45), was a resident of Vadamalaipalayam at Palladam. He was riding on his two-wheeler near Kozhikuttai Thottam, with a pillion rider, V. Sivasubramanian. Their vehicle was hit by a two-wheeler that was being driven by R. Gandhiraj (21). Periyasamy was killed on the spot. The other two, Gandhiraj and Sivasubramanian are being treated at different hospitals in the city.

The Pollachi sub division police have registered a case against Gandhiraj.
