Coimbatore : Carcass of a male elephant was found lying in thick jungles of Adukamparai coming under Thadagam Reserve Forests on the outskirts, forest department sources said.
The department suspect that the 5-year old elephant might have fallen from a height and died.
The carcass was noticed last night in a tribal village by the officials who were on evening rounds. The elephant will be buried there after carrying out postmortem, they said.
