50-year old woman trampled to death

Coimbatore : A 50-year old woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Mullankadu area on the outskirts early Tuesday.
The woman, Sadiyammal had gone to fetch firewood, when an elephant chased her, police said.
Though, some persons nearby attempted to rescue the woman by raising alarm, the animal already attacked her, leading to death, they said.
