Coimbatore: The corporation officials today seized over 660 kgs of meat from various shops and sealed five shops for violating the lock down rules and social distancing .

During raids in five zones in the corporation limits, the officials inspected 56 shops in East zone and seized 500 kgs of chicken and mutton and
sealed three shops.

The officials seized 115.5 kgs of meat from various shops in Central Zone,official sources said.

In north zone, 50 kgs of chicken and mutton seized and sealed two shops for violating the sec.144, they said.

However, there was no seizure from North and South zone.

The official visited 236 shops in five zone and seized 665.5 kgs of meat and sealed five shops.
