67th Raising Day celebrated in Coimbatore

The 110 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Madras, on Monday celebrated the 67th Raising Day at the Red Fields Campus here in Coimbatore.

As a part of the celebrations, a “Know Your Army Expo” was celebrated on August 17, at the Red Fields campus for the students of BVM Global School, Air Force School and Kendriya Vidyalaya. The expo was organised by the Kovai Terriers.

According to a press release, the event was conducted in memory of the fallen soldiers in the battlefield, and a special address was given by Commanding Officer Colonel K. Loganathan. A special Bharakhana was also organised for the soldiers and their family members.

Various performances were given by soldiers and their family members, including children, to engage the audience.

Coimbatore Corporation Mayor, P. Rajkumar, also attended the event along with the Commissioner of Police, A. Amalraj, and officials from the armed forces.
