Coonoor: A 68-year old physically challenged man was gored to death by a bison (Indian Gaur), while he was standing in a queue to buy ration articles, near here in Nilgiris district.

Radhakrishnan, with his limping leg, was standing in the queue at the ration shop at Thaimalai, when the bison suddenly appeared and started attacking the persons.

Even as others in the queue managed to run to safety, Radhakrishnan was stranded and the bison gored him at abdomen and chest, police said.

After scaring away the animals, people there took the profusely bleeding Radhakrishnan to the Government hospital here. However, he died after some time, they said.
