8-year-old poisoned to death by mother

A 23-year-old woman consumed poison after administering the same to her eight-year-old daughter at her house in Avanashi today.
According to sources, neighbours heard Yamuna crying for help after taking the extreme step. They rushed the duo to the hospital where the child, Jothika, was declared brought dead. Yamuna’s condition is said to be serious.
Yamuna’s husband Bhupathi is working in Malaysia. Police have registered a case.
