Actors file NBW recall petition

Seeking to recall the non bailable warrants (NBWs), eight actors today filed a petition before the Judicial Magistrate Court here.
The Magistrate, Senthilkumar Rajavelu, has issued the NBWs against actors Satyaraj, Surya, Sarathkumar and five others yesterday, as they failed to appear before him in connection with a defamation case filed by a journalist some eight years ago.
Advocate Vishwanathan filed the petition on behalf of the actors.
However, journalist-advocate Vijayan opposed to it, saying that the cases were filed individually and the petition should also be individually. The argument on the petition will continue for tomorrow.
