The four-day 41st All India Conference of AITUC, scheduled to be held in Coimbatore from December 15, has been postponed, due to the flood situation in many districts of Tamil Nadu.

It will now be held from February 25 to 28 next year, the Conference Reception Committee working president, K. Subbarayan said today.

The decision to postpone the conference was taken, considering the loss of lives and property in the floods in Chennai, Cuddalore and other districts, he said.

Moreover, the AITUC workers are engaged in relief works in several areas and would continue to be involved till normalcy was restored in these areas, he added.
