Demanding a minimum 8.33 per cent bonus for Diwali, the staff of 108 Ambulance Service today staged a demonstration in the city.

The staff, numbering 43, including a woman, raised slogans in support of their demands, which include reduction of shift hours and also stopping mandatory transfers, police said.

Some employees claimed that they were working with the company for the last eight years and had not received any bonus. However, there were no plans to go for any strike on the issue, police said.
