The Tirupur Exporters Association president has said that the senior functionary from the US-based Sourcing at Magic trade fair was very impressed by the overall quality of the products, including garments, made in India.

“Many are inclined to source their requirements from India, keeping in mind all the advantageous factors like political and cultural relationships, quality, communication angle, and, above all, dependability,” Bob Berg, Director (International Business), Sourcing at Magic, from the USA, said.

He was recently at nearby Tirupur to interact with the knitwear garment exporters on how to do business with USA, and avenues of developing contacts with the buyers and brands all over the world through the Sourcing at Magic fair, scheduled to be held at Las Vegas from August 14 to 17.

Berg said that Indian exports amount to four percent of America’s total apparel imports, and is growing at eight percent per annum.

Sourcing at Magic is one of North America’s largest and most comprehensive sourcing event, with participants from more than 35 countries.
