Amman decorated with currency notes to usher in New Year

Ambigai Muthumariamman the diety at the temple in Katoor was decorated with currency notes as part of the 76th year Urchavam festival.
While special poojas were conducted as a part of the Tamil New Year celebrations, people from various parts of Coimbatore participated in the celebrations and sought the blessings of the Amman.
