Students from the Department of Apparel and Fashion Design of PSG College of Technology displayed the apparels, household articles and accessories – all made out of Khadi – designed by them at Brookefields Mall here on Monday.

Brookefields Mall, in association with the PSG College of Technology celebrated Khadi Day by promoting Khadi products.

According to a statement from the Mall, they celebrated ‘Khadi Day’ to promote Khadi amongst younger generation and also to provide an opportunity to the college students to showcase their products made out of Khadi.

“Khadi is synonymous with freedom movement. It symbolises values of Independence self-reliance and self-confidence,” the release added. People, who came to the Mall wearing Khadi, were presented with gifts on the occasion.
