An ingenious thinker and a dance professional, Ashwin Jerome has always been nourished and driven by his passion. The element of doing something creative has always kept him on his feet, living and moving as comfortably close to the edge as possible. Born and brought up in Chennai, this engineering graduate has finally found his inclination towards acting.

His upcoming film Yaanum Theeyavan will hit the screens on June 30. The movie, a thriller is written and directed by Prashanth G Sekar.

The story whirls around three key characters – Mike played by Ashwin Jerome, Soumya (Varsha Bollama) and Pasupathi (Raju Sundaram).

In a brief interaction with Covai Post, the actor says the journey has been quite interesting. “When I found my destination in the film industry, the entire process became a self-driven one. The journey was both interesting and cumbersome as we had to get through various phases of the film – a lot of slogging, sleepless nights and at the same time filled with excitement and anxious moments.”

“I received several scripts in the initial stages. But this particular one caught my attention as it was a chain of real life incidents put together. The story just stirred my emotions,” he adds.

Ashwin is all excited about his debut and hopes his work would be a stepping stone into the tinsel world and help him make a mark there.
