Association for tailors soon in Coimbatore

The Tailoring Shop Proprietors Sangamam Tirupur will soon have a similar association for tailors in Coimbatore.
Announcing this here, the Sangamam’s founder-chief Balakrishnan said a decision to start the association here followed the success it had in Tirupur. “We formed the Association of Tailors in Tirupur in 2013. We have been having monthly meetings where several issues come up for discussion. Training is also given to members on how to conduct themselves before customers,” Balakrishnan, a tailor by profession, said.
Currently there are 700 members in the association out of which 500 are active.
The association would soon prepare a database of tailors, their address, experience and specialization. “It will be available in a website format. People can get ready information about designers in their areas very easily,” he added.
The database of Tirupur members would be released soon followed by Coimbatore. Apart from this a directory containing information on places that sell tailoring accessories, raw materials and other related issues would be also be brought out.
