Awareness rally held on World Diabetes Day

In order to create awareness among the general public about the increasing cases of diabetes in connection with World Diabetes Day, the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) along with the Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel participated in a rally here on Monday.
Around 105 participants including students from Coimbatore Medical College, 110 Battalion of RAF, paramedical staff of CMCH and senior officials walked from the CMCH premises to the District Collectorate.
During the rally, the participants raised slogans against the changing food habits that caused the disease, adding that people should start resorting to eating healthy food. They also shared the importance of keeping oneself fit through exercise, which would invariably prevent diseases.
The rally was flagged off by District Revenue Officer (DRO) Christu Raj earlier in the day.
