Recently, the members of the Coimbatore Acme Ladies Circle No 85 joined hands with Coimbatore Acme Round Table No 133 and constructed six toilets and five bathrooms for the inmates of the Seva Nilayam home for the aged and orphans in Thaliyur.

The 23 members of the Coimbatore Acme Ladies Circle No. 85 often visit the Seva Nilayam home for the aged and orphans to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. They also regularly make their contributions in cash and in kind to this home. This home currently has 80 inmates.

“I have been a regular visitor to this home. I like to spend time with the children and the older people here. The inmates of this home did not have proper bathroom and toilet facilities. So we raised funds to construct toilets and bathrooms for them. We have handed over the toilets and bathrooms,” Shalaka Vora, Chairperson of the Coimbatore Acme Ladies Circle No 85, said.

Shalaka clarifies that it was an initiative by the Coimbatore Acme Ladies Circle No 85 and Coimbatore Acme Round Table No 133, and not part of the Swachh Bharat mission.
