BJP leader found dead

The body of BJP Tirupur North District Vice-President, S. Marimuthu, was found hanging with hands tied from behind, at a cow shed behind his house at Muthanpalayam in Tirupur.
Marimuthu, 52, had gone to the shed to milk the cow early this morning.
As he did not return for long, Marimuthu’s family members went in search of him, only to find him hanging dead on a wood attached to the shed.
As the body bore injuries, police who reached the spot, suspect that Marimuthu was assaulted first, strangled to death and hanged on the ceiling of the shed, with hand tied from behind.
Police are investigating the killing, which created tense moments in and around the area.
