BJP man’s 2-wheeler torched in Pollachi

Coimbatore: Tension prevailed for some time in the early hours of today in nearby Pollachi as unidentified miscreants torched the motorcycle of a BJP functionary.
Shivakumar, the BJP local area secretary of Srinivasapuaram in Pollachi, had parked his motorcycle in front of his house after hectic campaigning late last night, police said.
He woke up in the early hours hearing the sound of motorcycle burning.
He rushed out along with family members and managed to put off the fire that had partially burnt the vehicle, they said.
Shivakumar lodged a complaint with the local police, who are investigating and searching for the miscreants.
