Blanket vendor done to death, search on for accused

Police are on the look out for a person, who had reportedly beaten a blanket vendor to death with wooden log in the city today.
According to police, one Chahal, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was sellling blanket and sweater, asked a person, Karthikaraj (23), the location of good hotel in the area Kuniamuthur this evening.
In a fit of anger, Karthikraja reportedly hit Chahal with a wooden log and escaped from there. Some persons there immediately took the injured Chahal to nearby private hospital, where he was declared dead, they said.
Search was on for Karthikraj.
