As many as 50 NSS volunteers of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) on Saturday donated blood at the university campus.
NSS units of TNAU, Rotary Club of Coimbatore West and Shanti Social Services
organized the blood donation camp.
D. S. Mahimairaja, Dean (Agriculture), TNAU, appreciated the volunteers for donating blood for a noble cause.
Stating that the gap between the demand for blood and donated units was very huge in India, he said that blood from a single donor could save four lives by in the form of plasma, platelets and blood as a whole.
Doctors at the camp advised students to keep themselves healthy by taking
vegetables and fruits.
