Boy hangs to death for low marks in Class 10 exams

Coimbatore : Reportedly upset over getting less than 50 per cent marks in Class 10 examinations, a Tirupur student committed suicide by hanging in his house.

The parents of Sivasubhramaniyan of Iduvampalayam noticed the boy hanging from the ceiling early Tuesday, police said.

The boy was said to be upset over scoring only 247 marks in the examinations..

He might have taken the extreme step past midnight, when the family members were asleep, police said.

Further investigations are on.
