BSNL office besieged

Members of the Campus Front of India (CFI) on Thursday besieged the BSNL office near District Collectorate agitating against the new circular regarding World Yoga Day celebrations.

The Ministry of Ayush had allegedly sent a circular to educational institutions asking them to ensure students pronounced religious mantras before practicing yoga.

Since the mantras were associated with Hindus, members of the CFI blamed the central government for trusting religion among students through yoga.

“These activities should be immediately stopped as India is country which accepts all religions,” a member said.
The members were later arrested by the Police.
