Burglars strike at former DSP’s house

Burglary was reported in two houses in the outskirts of Peelamedu city, looting about 55 sovereign of gold ornaments, some silver articles, and electronic items.

According to police, 30 sovereign of gold ornaments were looted from the locked house of retired DSP, Janakiraman, who noticed the attack after he returned from his outstation trip this morning.

25 sovereign of gold ornaments, some silver articles and a laptop were looted from the locked house of a bank official, Ashok Kumar, who had gone out with his family.

Finger print experts and sniffer dogs were pressed into service. Hunt is on for the burglars.
