Canteen in CoP office inaugurated, open for general public too

Low cost good quality food would be available to all, including the general public, at the canteen that was inaugurated at the Police Commissioner’s office campus here today.

Inaugurated by the State Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Implementation of Special Programme, S.P. Velumani, the canteen was constructed at a cost of Rs. 28.55 lakhs from the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Fund. A.P. Nagarajan represents the constituency in Parliament.

A public utility centre, and SBI ATM were also opened. The Minister also inaugurated a health complex, constructed at a cost of Rs. 10 lakhs from the Corporation Fund at the office campus.

District Collector T.N. Hariharan, Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Vijaya Karthikeyan, Mayor P. Rajkumar, MLAs and various other officials were present.
