Car-borne gang kills a pedestrian

An unidentified gang, travelling in a car, ran over a 23-year old engineer while he was walking in Avarampalayam in the city. Rajeshkumar of Bimanarayanapuram on the out skirts, was walking near a private hospital in the area, when the miscreants got down from the car and attacked him with knives and lethal weapons this evening, in full public view, police said. Rajesh, , died on the spot and the reason for the murder is not be ascertained as yet. Further investigations were on.
