Cash, gold burgled

Burglars struck a house in a village near Udumalpet in Tirupur district and decampled with 50 sovereign gold ornaments and Rs.2 lakh cash, in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to police, the house of one Indira of Pallapalayam, was found broke open and valuables missing, when the inmates returned this morning.
Further investigations were on, they said.
