Centre for entrepreneurial training on food processing set up

A food processing incubation-cum-training centre has been set up in Kodavadi in Kinathukadavu. Set up by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Government of Tamil Nadu, the Centre mainly focuses on post harvest processing of food crops and making them into value added food products, a university release said.
Frequent training programmes on food processing are being organised at the centre, during which the nutritional significance and health benefits will be highlighted.
In addition to technology know how, requisites for establishing a food processing unit, project proposal, marketing strategies, packaging technologies, FSSAI certification details will be explained to the participants.
