Chain snatched from daughter of sub inspector

Coimbatore : In a daring daylight robbery, two motorcycle-borne persons today snatched a gold chain from a girl, sitting in the pillion of her Sub-inspector father near Police Training school in the city.
According to police, the sub-inspector, Vellingiri was going out with daughter Lavanya on his two wheeler, when two persons on a motorcycle accosted them and suddenly pulled the gold chain and fled the scene.
Caught unawares, the police official, attached to Ukkadam police station, lodged a complaint and police are on the look out for the miscreants, they said.
