Kottayam: Musth-hit Mullakkal Balakrishnan, which had created terror in Thuravur, was successfully taken through the narrow bridge linking island Ananthankari with the mainland in Alappuzha.

This was a major challenge to the district administration and the police as the elephant was behaving strangely and not obeying the mahouts.

The elephant was moved from where it was chained after the forest vet certified that it was in a position to be moved out.

The elephant will be shifted to a vehicle and taken to Mullackkal temple in Alappuzha.

It had jumped out of the lorry when being brought from Trikkakara in Kochi to Alapuzha the other day.
