Child falls into water sump; dies

In a tragic accident, a two-and-half year old boy died after he fell into an underground water tank in Koilpalayam today.
The boy, Girish, was playing in front of its house, unsupervised, while his mother was in the kitchen. A passerby noticed the child falling into the tank and immediately ran to rescue him. He managed to bring the boy out.
The boy was rushed to the private hospital, but the doctors declared him brought dead.
