Children’s Day celebration on Swachh Bharat theme

Residents of the Air Force Naval Housing Enclave (AFNHE) in Ganapathy organised Children’s Day celebrations from Nov 22 to 24, with Swachh Bharat as the theme.
Children and adult residents of the enclave participated in the competitions, and programmes, like singing, fancy dress and painting competition.
Children in the age group of 5 to 10 years had games like watering plants without wasting water, while older residents were checked on their knowledge of how to segregate waste.
At the finale tomorrow, at 5pm at the AFNHE Community Hall, there will be a dance show on cleanliness and dance drama on ‘no to open defecation’.
Competition winners will be given ‘My Shopping My Bag’ cloth bags tomorrow.
