Coimbatore to host textile meet on Dec 15 after 25 years

Coimbatore : A two-day all India textile conference from December 15 here, will attempt to update technical knowledge and skill in textile field and management.
Organised by Textile Association, the 74th edition of the conference, hosted in the city after a gap of 25 years, would have 16 eminent speakers from leading textile machinery manufacturers across the world, including LMW from the city, conference convener Ramalingam told reporters here today.
Four of them were from abroad and there would be at least 50 foreign delegates among the 500 expected for the conference.
The association would honour R Jagadish Chandran, Chairman of Premier Mills with the lifetime achievement award for his services to the Industry and Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman and Managing Director of LMW, with the industrial excellence award, Ramalingam said.
