Fourteen year old Premkumar who was in the custody of his employer in Mangalore Karnataka has returned to his family in Telungupalayam, Coimbatore.

Owner of Muthu Sweets handed him over to a relative at the Podanur railway station today.

Talking to Covai Post, Premkumar said, “I am happy to be back home and for the first time in almost a year had a meal of idli at my home.”

He was fed well by the employer, but made to work a lot.

Premkumar had to visit the police for an enquiry after which he was sent back.

Covai Post reported on this case of illegal confinement earlier.

The family has been fighting to get him back for almost a year.
