Corpn retrieves 97 cent reserved sites in two days

The City Corporation has retrieved 97 cent reserved sites valued at Rs. 11.2 crores after removing the encroachments in three zones in the last two days.

The officials carried the anti-encroachment drive in West, North and South zones yesterday and today and removed encroachments on 40 cents of land worth Rs. 5 crores, 45 cent in north zone valued at Rs. 5 crores and Rs. 1.2 crores worth 2 cents of land in south zone respectively.

The Corporation has retrieved 5.34 acres of encroached reserved sites worth Rs. 64.70 crore in five zones in the month of November and 3.77 acres valued at Rs. 55.45 crores in December 2016, a release from Corporation Commissioner, Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan said.
