Corporation conducts awareness camp on Dengue

The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation today conducted awareness camps on Dengue across the city today.
Special teams, comprising public health nurses, public health officers and DBC workers, visited various wards and distributed chiretta juice to the residents. Fogging operations were also conducted.
Medical camps were also held, where the principals of Government Medical College and ESI Hospital and other health officials and workers, gave instructions to the public on how to prevent Dengue. The Corporation officials urged the public not to resort to self medication in case of fever. They asked them to visit the nearest hospital and consult a medical professional.
Officials visited wards 76, 86, 87, 95, and 97 of Southern zone, Wards 8 and 21 of West zone, Wards 32,35,57,63,69 and 75 of East zone, wards 38 and 41 of North zone, and wards 45 and 74 of Central zone.
