When the whole Tamil Nadu is staging protests and taking out rallies asking to lift the ban on Jallikattu, the traditional sport of bull-taming, a city-based artist has come up with a unique and creative way to show his support for the sport.

Unnal Mudiyam Thambi (UMT) Raja, a goldsmith by profession, has created a miniature sculpture out of 300 mg gold with the theme “Jallikattu on fire.” The miniature sculpture, which took Raja one day to create, is so tiny that it is placed on a matchstick.

Talking to Covai Post, Raja said, “Jallikattu is a burning issue specially among the youth of Tamil Nadu. If government lifts the ban then this fire will be extinguished automatically and Pongal festival can be celebrated by everyone with full enthusiasm.”
