PMK Chief Minister candidate Anbumani Ramadoss alleged that Tamil Nadu has become a crime hub under the AIADMK rule.

Coming down heavily on the party, Anbumani alleged that crime rate has increased in the last four years. “Tamil Nadu has witnessed 8700 murders in the last four years. There have also been 86000 instances of theft. Crime against women has also increased over the years. More than 10000 such cases have been filed in the police stations all over Tamil Nadu,” he said. He also blamed the police of serving the government and not the people.

Demanding an impartial CBI enquiry into the suicide of DSP R.R. Vishnupriya, he said that only a CBI enquiry would be adequate to solve the mysteries of the controversial case.

Denying claims that PMK was a caste-based party, he alleged that others are trying to create this impression in order to destroy the party’s roots. “Development is the sole aim of PMK,” he said.
