Death of 4 kids triggers panic in Salem GH

The death of four kids aged between five months and five years in the last 14 hours at the Government Hospital in Salem, due to fever triggered panic in the district, which has reported dengue deaths a few days ago.

According to hospital sources Jeevaraj of Salem and Pawan Kumar of Chellakuttikadu, both two years, died of fever, last night.

Both were undergoing treatment in the hospital for the last few days and died without responding to treatment.

Even before the sorrow of loosing two kids die down, the five-month old Sanjana of Kallakurichi of Villupuram district, admitted to the hospital, died early today.

Similarly, five-year-old Karthikeyan of Magudachavadi, who had also fever symptoms died after some time, triggering panic in the hospital and area, the sources added.
